CYBER SECURITY AND YOUR SMALL BUSINESS

A cyber security incident that impacts a small business can be devastating. Unfortunately, we at the Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC) see the impact of cyber security incidents each and every day, on individuals, large companies, and small businesses. Luckily, cyber security doesn’t have to be difficult.

There are simple measures that if understood and implemented, can significantly avoid, or reduce the impact of, the most common cyber security incidents. This presentation will provide an overview of the cyber security threats small businesses face, some ACSC insights into the cyber security practises of small businesses, cyber security victim statistics and trends, and will provide important, simple, and effective actions small businesses can take to help protect themselves.
